Buddy Pearson has been steadily playing bass for 34 of his 45 years. Hailing from a very musically supportive family. Buddy was given his first upright bass at age nine, and, in one way or another, has never looked back.
In his early 20's, Buddy heavily immersed himself in the Chicago area Jazz scene. Sharing the stage with a diverse group of traditional and contemporary Jazz artists such as Willie Pickens, Jerry Bergonzi, The Joe Marcinek Band, Fareed Haque, Brian Auger, Liquid Soul and many others. He is also co-founder for the last 20 years of the Jazz Fusion group, Freek Johnson. Who are headliners in the Jazz festival circuit every year, and continue to play all around the Chicagoland area.
Buddy also puts his bass guitar skills in a solo setting at weekly performances at several venues. Amazing audiences with his prodigious technique.
Along with playing, Buddy has been teaching all levels of electric and upright bass privately for the last 20 years.
